
We can easily fall prey to the opinions of others. I get it. But at some point learning to shake free of ppl and their opinions is clutch. I already had a dearth of fcks to give. Now I have even less.

No matter your lot in life, you lead something. Someone is watching you whether you have a title or not. Recognize the power you wield and use it for good.

Most of us get the whitewashed version of history. This book gives a fresh perspective and adds some flavor. It introduces women and events that may be unfamiliar.

I don’t know what it is about women and why we apologize for the most asinine things. Things that aren’t even our fault. Things we want to accomplish. Just life shit. But you really gotta stop doing it.

This tale weaves a picture of what slavery times look like from the perspective of a black woman. Butler weaves this tale with sci fi in a way that is nerve wrecking and breathtaking.

This is a pretty good guide for creating a day that kicks ass. The more great days you create, the better. I use a good chunk of his advice still.

I am a Michelle Obama fan girl. I love her. And hearing her story and foundation made me appreciate her more.

The history that we’re fed in school is incomplete and bullshit. If you think the founding fathers were some cool guys, know that they were actually some slave holding rapists as well. Gather around and get a fuller picture.
