My journey to become a yogi was thrust upon me. I had NO INTENTION on becoming certified in this practice. I was just using yoga as a way to balance my fitness routine and to keep my body functional.
I am very open and share a LOT. One of my Facebook friends shared a scholarship opportunity for Black yoga teachers. This company, My Vinyasa Practice, recognized the dearth of Black instructors, and created a way to remedy this. I seized on this chance. I know KNOW within my heart of hearts that the black community needs more wellness, fitness, and mindfulness. We need more teachers that look like us. And I felt like this was my path, my Dharma.

I’m ecstatic about my journey because so many have supported me and come along with me. My supporters have allowed me to practice on them, given me feedback, and gifted me money that has allowed me to flesh out this new opportunity. I have so much to roll out and more people inspire. I have a game plan, so just watch and wait as I unveil my deliverables…Namaste 🧘🏾♀️💜🙏🏾
