I am going to take a moment and brag on one of my clients. She started working out with me when she was 63! She was determined to NOT get old like many of the people her biological age (because she definitely doesn’t act like a 60+ year old!) She is NOT sitting around getting old. And let me you, I really push her, but only because I know that she will attempt just about anything I throw her way. I work to motivate her, but I am definitely am in awe of this young lady too! I wanna be like her when I grow up 🙂 Introducing…

When did you fall in love with health and fitness? In my 20’s.
How has health and fitness changed your life? I have met some great people, boosted my self confidence, and developed more physical strength.
How are you able to balance your personal responsibilities (kids, spouse, other family obligations, work, hobbies, etc)? I include family and friends in physical activities. And instead of eating at lunch, I take a walk or go to the gym.
How do you fit in workouts when your time is limited? I break up the workout into 15 minute intervals or walk during lunch.
What was the biggest life adjustment on this journey? Overcoming the fear that I couldn’t do something.
What is your favorite workout move? I don’t know the name of the equipment but you stand on a platform, lean forward, and bend over holding weights. (Hyperextension for the lower back)
What is your favorite clean meal? Clean treat? (Please share a recipe) Oven roasted eggplant or cauliflower with olive oil, salt and pepper; marinated and pan grilld tofu, stir-fryed swiss chard. Any and all vegetables well seasoned and NOT boiled or steamed. Garbanzo or black beans tosed with olive oil, chopped red onion, celery, red bell pepper, cilantro or parsley.
Can you offer any advice to other busy women on how to get started down a healthier path? Just get started. Be open minded about what you can do and especially about what you will eat. You can do more than you think. Train your taste buds to like new foods. Change your habits and develop new healthy habits.
What are your future goals? Live to be 100 and still be in good shape and not to let age be an excuse for anything.
HOT. I believe age aint nothing but a number. HOW DO YA FEEL is the question? You look FANTASTIC.
