On Sundays I have been going to yoga, then meeting up with my posing coach for practice. This is a day I usually use to center myself, get ready for the workout week ahead, and stretch out all the tightness of the previous week. I am usually recharged and ready to go on Mondays. But this past Monday, and just about all this week, I have been running on fumes…like I got 10 miles to run, but only 5 miles worth of gas. This week, I have been using coffee to supplement energy. And while I KNOW that coffee cannot make up for proper rest and sleep, I am too drained for my clients. The thing that non-competitors gotta know, show prep does not happen within a bubble. Life and obligations still go on. I still have to work, and grocery shop, and do laundry, and clean up, and do typical life stuff while training and dieting. And there is only so much energy in my body…(not complaining, just telling how I am feeling.)
Ok..well, I trudged through my workouts M-W. I thoroughly kicked my butt! Regardless of how I am feeling, I will get my workouts in. That is why I typically do them in the morning before I run out of energy. I have FINALLY started to see weight loss too. For about 3 weeks I was stuck around 127-128. I weighed in this week at 125.5 lbs! So my hard work is finally starting to pay off!! YaY! (It is easy to be excited with exclamation points!!) Well, we will see how these next 3 weeks go. I have a feeling that “tired” will be an understatement to describe how I am feeling once I really pull these carbs!
