My Vegan Competition Journey: 6 Weeks Out

Yeah, I know, I know...I look I like I just rolled out of bed. Well I kinda did!
My mentor was talking to me during our last conversation about animals in nature. He was talking about “survival of the fittest.” (And many of us know this, but ima re-iterate.) Basically in nature, you have to fight to survive. There are always predators out there looking for the weak link, which will translate into their dinner. So the strong survive, group up with other strong animals, and travel in packs for strength and protection. And the weak links fall by the way-side.

As he was speaking, I could see how this relates directly to my life. I have been getting stronger: physically, mentally, and spiritually. And as I get stronger, the people that I choose to be around are also strong (or growing.) Strong people will push you…and expect the same. That way the pack gets stronger as a whole. And the people that I use to hang with, that are NOT growing, slowly start to fade away. Attrition happens naturally…it doesn’t even have to be discussed.

There are a few people that are my “go-to” people for instant motivation. And not that they are my cheerleaders specifically, but just watching them grow and hit their goals pushes me to want to do the same. The strong get stronger…and the weak…well, I don’t keep up with them as much.

Anyways, I didn’t have much new news going on as far as my journey. My weight is steady from last week at 128 lbs. I am still going hard in the gym. And the diet is on track again. I feel good and I think I am looking good. So life is all good!
