I have completed my first full week of competition dieting and I must admit I feel pretty awesome! I remember doing this last year and feeling pretty good, but hungry alot of the time. This first week into my diet, I do not feel hungry, and I am not having the crazy cravings that I was having last year. (That is likely due to me giving up most of the crap a few months ago. Side bar: once you give up the bad food, your body stops craving it. That stuff is crazy addicting. Ya just gotta get over the initial hump of detoxing…and learn to fix or choose healthier treats.)
This past week was pretty great. And I must give a shout out to my wonderful boyfriend. Anyone who has gone through this process knows that it is hard for you…and most likely your significant other. So far I haven’t had any bitchy spells or emotional outbursts, but my guy knows how to navigate those waters accordingly. A couple of times during the week, I wanted some things that were NOT listed on my diet: chocolate macaroons and a vegan version of gumbo. I just wanted a taste, and my boyfriend adamantly said, “NO!” He reminded me of the bigger goal. Sometimes even the strongest people need a kick in the pants. But this is only week 1! Hopefully we both stay strong and keep me on the straight and narrow. I have to be stage ready in 12 weeks and those suits leave VERY LITTLE to the imagination! Keep checking on me and sending positive vibes.

Awesome! I can’t wait to start working out again after I’m done with chemo.
Good luck. I can’t wait for the next update.
Stay tuned! I am posting my check ins on Thursdays!
Woohoo! You’re so lucky to have him in your life. 🙂 I’m so glad to see that you are adjusting so well this time around. 🙂
