Jaiz and I finished an 8 week Warrior Workout program that is tailored towards mixed martial artists. We decided at the end of the program that we were going to do a weight cut like we had an actual weigh in for an event. We don’t have an actual event coming up, but you never know when you need to cut 10+ pounds of water weight. (Hey, it could happen!)
Jaiz’s Goal: lightweight division (MMA) 155 lbs, starting weight 172.8
LaQuesha’s Goal: lightweight division 125 lbs, starting weight 137.2
We have 5 days to cut this weight. We are using water manipulation to cut weight. Our bodies are made of mainly water. So we could, in theory, lose about 10 lbs just with water restriction. We will see.
Game plan: the first 3 days, drink 2 gallons of water, 4th day 1 gallon, and on the 5th day a half gallon and no food or drink after 6 pm. And depending on our weight Friday morning, (weigh in day), we may have to really workout and sweat off as much water as possible. So that is the basic plan. We will see how this pans out.
